Polymarket is the world's largest prediction market platform. We enable individuals to express views on real-world events by trading on outcomes across politics, economics, sports, culture, and current affairs. Built as a peer-to-peer marketplace with no centralized "house," Polymarket aggregates diverse opinions into transparent, market-based probabilities that reflect collective expectations about the future. We're growing fast, both in terms of volume ($21B traded in 2025) and adoption as an alternative news source. Our ambition is to become a ubiquitous beacon of truth in global media and we need your help adding fuel to the fire. Polymarket is looking for a Lead Android Engineer to own our Android product as we invest seriously in mobile. We're not looking for another individual contributor: we need someone who can take full ownership of the Android side of Polymarket, lead and organize a team of engineers and contractors, and scale it as the platform grows. The right person brings strong Android expertise alongside the business judgment and cross-functional instincts to translate company goals into a great product. You'll work closely with product, design, and engineering leadership, and you'll be expected to have opinions not just about how things are built, but about what should be built and why. We move fast, priorities shift, and we need someone who thrives in a lean, high-ownership environment and knows how to bring others along with them. What You'll Do: Own the Android product. Take end-to-end ownership of Polymarket's Android experience, from technical architecture to product quality and roadmap execution. Lead and grow the team. Manage and organize a team of engineers and contractors today, with a clear path to scaling as mobile becomes an increasingly central part of the business. Set the technical direction. Make and own architectural decisions for the Android platform, ensuring the product is built to scale and maintained with discipline. Bridge business and technology. Understand Polymarket's business goals deeply and translate them into technical strategy and prioritization. Be the person in the room who can connect what the company needs to what the Android team builds. Partner across the company. Work closely with product, design, backend, and leadership teams to align on priorities, coordinate launches, and drive quality outcomes. Raise the bar. Establish strong engineering and product standards for the Android team, including code review practices, release processes, and a culture of high ownership.
