Your position

  • Senior Data Engineer responsible for designing and building Alpaca's next-generation Data Platform, including lakehouse infrastructure, low-latency streaming and batch ingestion, and BI/data products; works with GCP-based data stack and a 100% distributed remote team; processes hundreds of millions of events daily and supports internal/external stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of Data Engineering experience;
  • 2+ years building/operating scalable, low-latency data platforms handling >100M events/day;
  • Kubernetes with cloud-native tooling (Docker, Helm);
  • IaC experience (Terraform, Ansible, ArgoCD or equivalents);
  • Distributed systems knowledge (storage, transactions, query processing); hands-on with Trino/Presto;
