Polymarket is the world's largest prediction market platform, enabling individuals to express views on real-world events by trading on outcomes across politics, economics, sports, culture, and current affairs. Built as a peer-to-peer marketplace with no centralized "house," Polymarket aggregates diverse opinions into transparent, market-based probabilities that reflect collective expectations about the future. The company is growing fast in volume ($21B traded in 2025) and adoption as an alternative news source, with an ambition to become a ubiquitous beacon of truth in global media. Polymarket is looking for a Senior Quantitative Developer to join the team that runs the data infrastructure powering its platform, including real-time pipelines, clean market data, and reliable delivery across every dependent system. This role involves adding depth to a high-performing team working on complex, high-stakes systems, taking full ownership of critical pipelines across the data infrastructure, actively improving their speed, robustness, and reliability. The ideal candidate will have built and operated high-throughput data infrastructure in production environments where reliability and performance are crucial. Responsibilities include building and maintaining real-time data pipelines for market events with high reliability and low latency, investigating and resolving root causes of data issues like gaps, delays, and schema breaks. The role also involves continuous incremental improvements to ingestion and delivery infrastructure, monitoring pipeline health, defining meaningful alerts, and reducing operational overhead. The Senior Quantitative Developer will partner with analysts and engineers to understand data consumption downstream and improve data quality and shape, as well as document systems clearly for team context-switching.
