  • Senior Software Engineer - Accounting & Ledger Systems – onsite in Toronto, Canada

Requirements

  • Real working knowledge of accounting fundamentals: double-entry bookkeeping, chart-of-accounts design, financial statements (P&L, balance sheet), and reconciliation/audit requirements
  • 5+ years backend software engineering experience with data-model design for correctness-focused systems
  • Strong instincts for extensible system design (scalable schemas and APIs)
  • Ability to read and critique technical designs across multiple systems
  • Strong cross-functional communication with Finance, Data Engineering, and Product teams

Compensation & benefits

  • Base salary CAD 180,000–220,000
