This role is central to Polymarket's operations, requiring the engineer to embed with various teams to deeply understand their functions and strategic goals. The primary responsibility is to accelerate these teams by building and expanding operational systems, specifically centering around "Mission Control" – the platform Polymarket uses to run its entire operation. Mission Control supports functions like Customer Success and is critical for market creation, configuration, and launch. This position offers significant ownership and the opportunity to solve diverse problems, delivering business-level value.Key responsibilities include owning and expanding Mission Control, building and evolving the systems that drive Polymarket's markets, content, and growth. This involves designing and implementing pipelines to automate market research, structuring, deployment, and management at scale. The engineer will ship features and improvements end-to-end, taking concepts to production with direct impact on daily business operations. The role requires working across a broad set of operational systems (APIs, dashboards, workflows) that support various teams and tie into the core product, engaging in both frontend and backend development using modern frameworks. Close partnership with operations teams is essential to understand workflows, gather feedback, and iterate quickly. The engineer is also expected to write clean, maintainable code, building scalable systems and contributing to code quality through reviews and engineering best practices.
