Your position

  • Staff Analytics Engineer
  • Finance Analytics: responsible for technical direction of Coinbase's financial data layer, supporting month-end/quarter-end close, and building auditable, SOX-compliant data pipelines.

Requirements

  • Accounting exposure (formal degree/coursework or hands-on with Accounting/FP&A)
  • Expert SQL (window functions, complex aggregations, optimization)
  • Strong Python (OOP, reusable frameworks)
  • No production ETL or SQL experience = reject
  • Deep data modeling (star/snowflake schemas, SCDs) for source-of-truth datasets used by multiple teams—design and own pipelines with dbt, Airflow or similar, including testing/monitoring/SLAs)

Compensation & benefits

  • Annual base salary range: $207,485—$244,100 USD (excluding equity and bonus)
  • Total compensation may include equity and bonus eligibility
