Your position

  • Staff Full Stack Engineer responsible for leading the technical direction of the team that builds Alpaca's Trading API product, including identity, access, and customer-facing trading features; ownership spans architecture, security, and end-to-end customer experience across trading applications and platform services.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of software engineering experience with backend and customer-facing apps.
  • Proven ownership of production systems where defects could expose data or cause financial loss.
  • Deep experience with authentication/authorization: OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, MFA, session/token management, role/attribute-based permissions.
  • Strong backend in Go, or Java/Kotlin/C#/Rust with willingness to work in Go.
  • Strong frontend with TypeScript and React for complex state-heavy apps.
