Polymarket is seeking a Staff iOS Engineer to significantly contribute to their iOS product as they heavily invest in mobile. This high-ownership role requires someone with a deep understanding of building exceptional trading or wagering experiences on mobile, including performance requirements, real-time data challenges, and intuitive UI patterns for fast-moving information. The engineer will collaborate closely with product, design, and engineering leadership to deliver a high-quality iOS experience and elevate mobile codebase standards. Key responsibilities include: - Owning the iOS product: Taking end-to-end ownership of Polymarket's iOS experience, covering technical architecture, performance, product quality, and release discipline. - Setting technical direction: Making and owning architectural decisions for the iOS platform, ensuring scalability and rigorous maintenance. - Building for real-time: Designing and implementing experiences that handle live market data, fast-moving prices, and real-time order state reliably. - Raising the engineering bar: Leading code reviews, establishing strong iOS engineering standards, and developing the mobile team's capabilities. - Partnering across the company: Collaborating with product, design, and backend teams to align priorities, define APIs and data contracts, and ship high-quality experiences. - Contributing to mobile strategy: Helping shape Polymarket's approach to mobile as a platform, including architectural decisions for team scalability.
