Your position

  • Own the technical architecture and roadmap for MetaMask's Perpetuals across Extension and Mobile (real-time data, order execution, margin/liquidation UX).
  • Set technical direction and standards for trading-critical features (precision/decimal handling, high-frequency state updates, resilience to feed/connectivity failures).
  • Drive cross-team alignment with experience, backend/protocol integration teams to ship multi-team projects.
  • Identify and de-risk hard technical problems; make build-vs-buy and architecture trade-offs for the domain.
  • Partner with Engineering Manager on prioritization and technical judgment for what gets built and when.

Requirements

  • 8+ years with web and mobile technologies.
  • Experience building trading/financial or other correctness-critical systems (precision, race conditions, state consistency with financial risk).
  • Experience with real-time data systems (WebSockets, streaming price feeds) and resilient UX with unreliable networks.
  • Track record leading multi-team technical initiatives (Staff-level scope).
  • Hands-on experience with React and React Native.
